A Hong Kong-based start-up, led by a former Goldman Sachs analyst, has developed ArborChat, an AI chatbot designed to assist finance professionals and investors globally in making informed investment decisions.
ArborChat utilizes large language models to analyze text and extract investment ideas, enhancing fundamental stock analysis. Currently, around 100 firms are trialing the software.
The start-up, founded in 2018, aims to expand its client base to 100,000 users over the next three years, targeting the global fund industry.
The tool employs a unique “ThoughtTree” approach to analyze and respond to investment queries, enhancing its capability to tackle complex tasks.
Recent developments include a feature enabling users to upload private documents for secure due diligence, with plans for expansion into other asset classes like bonds.
