On New Year's Day 2024, the inaugural Strip 'n Dip drew locals to Ocean Beach for a polar plunge event.
The event was organized by Jenna O’Connell and Kevin Rodgers, co-owners of the Laundromat restaurant, aimed at raising funds for Glide.
A total of $13,500 was raised during this year's plunge, with participants enjoying bagels and sweatshirts as part of the fun.
Although the weather was chilly, the atmosphere was vibrant with friends and families celebrating the New Year together.
The event marks a new tradition in San Francisco, providing a unique way to welcome the year without the usual New Year’s Eve pressures.
