Bangladesh will pursue stronger ties with India while working on the extradition of former PM Sheikh Hasina, as stated by foreign affairs adviser Md Touhid Hossain.
The request for Hasina's extradition is based on an arrest warrant for alleged crimes against humanity following her government's downfall in August.
Hossain emphasized that both the extradition request and bilateral relations with India will advance simultaneously.
He outlined Bangladesh's diplomatic objectives towards India, China, and the US as crucial partnerships for the future.
Discussions also highlighted the importance of addressing the Rohingya refugee crisis, with a commitment to their safe repatriation to Myanmar.
