Renowned climber Nirmal Purja and nine others were confirmed dead following a devastating avalanche that struck during their expedition on Broad Peak in Pakistan. The Alpine Club of Pakistan reported that the body of Purja was recovered after contact was lost with the climbing team on Thursday due to the avalanche, which occurred around 5,700 meters altitude.
