French model scout Daniel Siad, known for his ties to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead at his home in Colombes, near Paris. Prosecutors confirmed the discovery on Monday evening, stating that an autopsy will be conducted to establish the cause of death, according to Reuters and Al Jazeera.

At 69 years of age, Siad was being investigated for multiple allegations, including rape and human trafficking, which he denied vehemently. He claimed that his relationship with Epstein was solely professional and expressed disbelief over being implicated in the abuse, as noted by India Times and Al Jazeera.

Siad's name emerged nearly 2,000 times in the released Epstein documents, leading French authorities to initiate a broader investigation into human trafficking and tax fraud earlier this year, according to Reuters and India Times. Prosecutors revealed that a total of 24 women have come forward, some alleging Siad's involvement in trafficking, while others serve as witnesses.

While an investigation into Siad’s death is proceeding, it was reported that he had not yet faced judicial proceedings. His lawyer stated he died of a heart attack, largely attributing such health concerns to the stress and pressure from ongoing investigations. "If he died of a heart attack, the unbearable waiting, the pressure and the anxiety he suffered every day will have had something to do with it," his lawyer stated, according to Al Jazeera and Reuters.

Siad's death marks a continuation of tragic events linked to Epstein, as he is the second individual associated with Epstein to pass away in France under intense scrutiny, following model agent Jean-Luc Brunel, who was found dead in prison.
