  • Leonid Radvinsky, owner of OnlyFans, has passed away at the age of 43 after battling cancer.
  • Radvinsky transformed OnlyFans into a profitable platform, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Under his ownership, the company reported significant growth, with revenues reaching $1.4 billion in 2024.
  • He was in talks to sell a majority stake in OnlyFans before his passing.

Leonid Radvinsky, the owner of adult content platform OnlyFans, has died of cancer at the age of 43, as announced by the company. "We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky. Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer," the spokesperson stated. Radvinsky, a Ukrainian-American entrepreneur, acquired a 75% stake in Fenix International Limited, the parent company of OnlyFans, in 2018, and served as its director and majority shareholder, according to Channel News Asia and South China Morning Post.

Radvinsky’s tenure saw the platform flourish during the Covid-19 pandemic, attracting approximately 377 million users and 4.6 million content creators globally. The company reported a substantial net revenue of $1.4 billion in 2024, taking a 20% commission on creator earnings, and was valued at about $5.5 billion earlier this year during potential sale talks, according to Los Angeles Times and South China Morning Post.

Radvinsky paid himself approximately $1.8 billion in dividends since 2021, having a net worth valued at $3.8 billion as of May, based on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. In August, OnlyFans disclosed a dividend payment of $700 million to him. He was also reported to be in discussions to sell a majority stake that would value the platform around $5.5 billion, according to sources familiar with the negotiations shared by Los Angeles Times.

Born in Odesa, Ukraine, and later moving to Chicago, Radvinsky studied economics at Northwestern University. He began his entrepreneurial journey in the adult industry as a teenager, founding pioneering sites like MyFreeCams. Besides his commercial successes, he was known for his philanthropic contributions to various causes, including cancer research and humane societies, as reported by Channel News Asia and Los Angeles Times.
