Death toll from wildfires in Southern California has increased to 11, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The Palisades Fire has resulted in five fatalities, while six deaths are linked to the Eaton Fire.
Six active fires continue to burn, with the Palisades Fire claiming over 21,000 acres and the Eaton Fire affecting 14,000 acres.
California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency and called for an independent investigation regarding water supply issues in fire-affected areas.
Over 36,000 acres have burned, resulting in the destruction of at least 10,000 structures.
