Bridgewater Associates has expanded its asset management in China, reaching over 55 billion yuan (US$7.5 billion) by the end of December.
The firm's multi-asset strategy achieved stable returns, with its All Weather Plus fund yielding over 35% returns for the year.
Despite a decline in China’s hedge fund industry, Bridgewater's performance outpaced local multi-asset funds, which averaged an 11% return.
Bridgewater remains the only foreign hedge fund with more than 10 billion yuan in assets in China, surpassing rivals like D.E. Shaw & Co.
The firm sees opportunities for economic growth and asset stabilization in China, with strong performance anticipated in regional equities.
