Amrit Abhijat, the principal secretary of urban development, announced a Rs 15,000 crore investment in Prayagraj for Kumbh-related projects.
The UP government contributed over Rs 7,000 crore, with the central government matching this funding through various infrastructure improvements.
Infrastructure enhancements include increased ghats (from 8 km to 12 km) and an expanded parking area (from 1,291 to 1,850 hectares).
A total of 1.75 lakh tents and enhanced amenities, including 1.45 lakh toilets, have been installed for accommodating devotees.
The upcoming event will feature a digital experience with an AI chatbot, a multilingual website, and increased security through 2,600 cameras and drones.
