The study identifies **six districts**—Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg—as crucial nesting grounds.
Despite the positive growth, **environmental threats** like plastic pollution, habitat degradation, and light pollution persist for turtle populations.
