Multiple airports across the United Kingdom closed their runways on Sunday due to heavy snow and ice.
The Met Office issued snow and ice warnings for vast areas, affecting Northern Ireland, Scotland, and parts of northern and central England.
Manchester Airport, the third largest in the country, temporarily closed its runways but reopened them by 9:45 a.m. after snow clearing efforts.
Other airports like Liverpool's John Lennon, Newcastle International, and Birmingham Airport also experienced temporary closures and service disruptions.
National Rail reported that train services across England, Scotland, and Wales were also disrupted due to the ongoing severe weather.
