Former Representative Liz Cheney criticized Donald Trump for calling the Presidential Citizens Medal awarded to her and Representative Bennie Thompson "fake."
Trump condemned Biden for the award, labeling Cheney as "corrupt" on his social media platform, Truth Social.
In her rebuttal on X, Cheney stated, "Donald, this is not the Soviet Union. You can’t change the truth and you cannot silence us."
Cheney reminded Trump of his false claims about the 2020 election and mentioned the consequences faced by his lawyers.
She concluded with a warning for Trump to abandon his malicious falsehoods and respect the Constitution.
