Inbound travel to China is predicted to escalate this Lunar New Year, aided by an **expanded visa-free entry list**.
According to **Trip.com**, inbound travel purchases have risen by over **200%** compared to the previous year.
Notable increases in bookings were observed from **South Korea (+452%)**, as well as significant numbers from **Singapore, Japan,** and the **United States**.
Shanghai welcomed **4.56 million foreign visitors** in 2024, with **37%** entering under the visa-free policy, while Beijing saw nearly **920,000** visa-free arrivals.
China's tourism revival follows a prolonged restrictions period due to COVID-19, now allowing nearly **40 countries** visa-free stays, including a new **10-day transit policy** effective in December.
