The minister emphasized the need for the **police to adopt a tough stance** against fans using flares, promising **harsh and unflinching** responses to such actions.
The incident involved a flare striking a **motorcycle police officer**, resulting in **minor injuries** including burns and hearing damage.
Although the match was attended by around **5,000 fans** and proceeded without major incidents, the **AEL basketball team’s arena** later suffered significant damage by unruly fans.
The Justice Ministry is committed to introducing **tougher legislation** to address ongoing soccer violence and to enhance **fan behavior management**.
