China has launched its **first national sports arbitration centre** in Beijing, aimed at enhancing legal resolutions for sports disputes.
This initiative comes as part of a broader effort to **professionalise and standardise** sports in the wake of corruption scandals, particularly in football.
The centre operates under the **General Administration of Sport (GAS)** and will manage the national sports arbitration commission established in February 2023.
So far, the commission has addressed **100 cases** spanning various sports, including football, chess, and marathons, concerning issues like registrations and disciplinary actions.
Officials highlight this centre as a **"landmark achievement"** for sports governance in China, reinforcing order and legal integrity in the sporting sector.
