New York — On Wednesday night, ten people sustained injuries in a shooting outside the Amazura nightclub in Queens. The incident occurred around 11:15 PM when four men approached a group of approximately 15 young adults waiting to attend a private event.

According to New York Police Chief Philip Rivera, the assailants opened fire on the group, unleashing nearly **30 rounds**. Following the shooting, the suspects fled the scene in a light-colored sedan marked with out-of-state plates.

Among the injured, six are women and four are men, all reported to have **non-life-threatening injuries**. They were promptly transported to local hospitals for treatment. “There is zero tolerance for these senseless shootings,” stated Rivera during a press conference, adding that this incident is not classified as terrorism (The Guardian).

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, although police are investigating potential gang connections. Videos shared on social media revealed a significant police presence and several ambulances at the scene, highlighting community concern.

In a statement on Instagram, Amazura Concert Hall expressed its sadness over the incident, stating, “Our hearts go out to all those affected by this senseless act,” and encouraged witnesses to contact law enforcement with any information they may have (ABC News).

This story continues to develop as the investigation unfolds.
