Donald Trump has stated he plans to attend the funeral of Jimmy Carter, who passed away at the age of 100.
Funeral services will take place in Georgia and Washington from January 4 through January 9.
Despite being a frequent critic of Carter during his campaign, Trump expressed high regard for him after his death.
Trump remarked that the nation “owed him a debt of gratitude” and emphasized Carter’s dedication to making America a better place.
In addition to comments about the funeral, Trump shared his thoughts about the new year, saying he hopes it will be a “great year” for the country.
