The California Highway Patrol encountered a bizarre traffic stop involving a speeding 2022 Rolls Royce Ghost in late December 2024.
Officers pulled over the vehicle on Highway 99 in Madera County, where the driver was found to be under the influence and in possession of cannabis.
In addition to the serious charges, a baby monkey was discovered in the driver's seat, raising concerns as spider monkeys are illegal to possess in California.
The baby monkey was taken into possession by the CHP and transferred to the Oakland Zoo for care.
The driver, identified as Ali Mused Adel Mohamed, 27, was arrested and booked into jail on several charges.
