Nana Patekar, a veteran actor known for his impactful performances in both Hindi and Marathi cinema, has died at the age of 75 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Goa. His son confirmed the news, stating that Patekar was found unconscious and, despite attempts at reviving him, was pronounced dead shortly after at Manipal Hospital, according to BBC and Reuters.
Born in 1951 in Maharashtra, India, Patekar's career began with his debut film "Gaman" in 1978.
