NEW DELHI: The latest reports from India's automobile sector reveal contrasting trends in December 2024 sales. Bajaj Auto announced a 1 percent decline in total sales, recording 3,23,125 units compared to 3,26,806 units in December 2023
.Notably, the sales of two-wheelers dropped by 4 percent to 2,72,173 units from 2,83,001 units, with domestic sales falling by 19 percent to 1,28,335 units. Interestingly, Bajaj's exports surged by 15 percent to 1,43,838 units. Conversely, Maruti Suzuki reported a robust 30 percent increase in overall wholesales, reaching 1,78,248 units, significantly up from 1,37,551 units a year earlier (Indiatimes). Domestic passenger vehicle sales alone rose by 24.18 percent, reaching 1,30,117 units (Indiatimes).
