American singer and internet personality Oliver Tree was killed in a helicopter collision in Rio de Janeiro on June 14, along with five others. The tragic incident involved two helicopters that collided mid-air, crashing in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes area, and one fell into a parking lot, igniting a fire that affected around 20 cars. The CBS News and LA Times reported that Oliver Tree was among the passengers with the other victims including notable figures in the entertainment field.

The helicopters crashed around 09:00 local time, resulting in numerous fatalities with an ongoing investigation launched by local authorities as to the cause of the collision. Witnesses reported hearing a loud explosion as the helicopters collided, with parts scattering across a wide area. Reports indicated that one of the aircraft was carrying five people, including Tree and notable Argentine content creator Gaspar Prim, also known as Gaspi. There were also two other passengers and a pilot aboard Tree's helicopter, according to the Channel News Asia and BBC.
