At least six people were killed in a shooting spree across multiple locations in Muscatine, Iowa, on Monday, believed to stem from a domestic dispute, according to Indiatimes and Los Angeles Times. Police found four victims dead at one residence shortly after receiving a report of the incident around noon.
The suspected shooter, **Ryan Willis McFarland**, 52, took his own life when confronted by officers later that day on a nearby trail, according to CBS News and BBC. After investigating, officers later discovered two additional victims, also believed to be relatives, at different locations in the city.
Police Chief Anthony Kies described the killings as an “**act of evil**” and stated that all victims were likely family members of McFarland, as reported by Los Angeles Times and CBS News. The police have not yet released the identities of the victims, and the investigation is ongoing.
