  • Jonathan Andic arrested over father Isak's death during a hiking trip in Spain.
  • Initial investigation treated as an accident, later reopened due to inconsistencies.
  • The Andic family maintains Jonathan's innocence amid ongoing legal scrutiny.

The eldest son of Mango founder Isak Andic, Jonathan Andic, was arrested in Spain following a renewed investigation into his father's death during a hiking excursion in December 2024. Isak Andic, aged 71, died after falling approximately 500 feet in the Montserrat mountains near Barcelona, while hiking with his son, who was reportedly his only witness at the time of the incident, according to SCMP, CBS News, and BBC.

Initially deemed an accident, the investigation into Isak Andic's death was reopened due to perceived inconsistencies in Jonathan's accounts. Reports indicated that the police had temporarily closed the case but decided to pursue it further after new evidence emerged, leading them to classify the case as a possible homicide, according to SCMP and CBS News.

In a statement, a family spokesperson assured the media that Jonathan Andic, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing, is cooperating fully with authorities. "The cooperation has been and will remain total," the spokesperson added, reflecting the family's confidence in his innocence as he faces questioning by police, according to BBC.
