The incident took place on March 8 while Rihanna and her partner, A$AP Rocky, along with their three children, were present at the property. Prosecutors allege Ortiz discharged around 20 rounds from an AR-15 style rifle, striking the singer’s mansion and a neighboring house without causing any injuries, according to LA Times, SCMP, and Reuters.

During the court proceedings, Ortiz's lawyer requested to reduce her bail from $1.9 million to $70,000, citing financial constraints; however, the judge denied this as district attorneys argued that Ortiz posed a significant threat to public safety.
