On March 8, pop star Rihanna's Los Angeles residence was struck by gunfire after a woman fired multiple shots while the singer was reportedly inside. The shooting occurred around 1:15 p.m., according to reports from local sources. Police detained a 30-year-old female suspect who fired approximately ten rounds from a vehicle across the street, with at least one round piercing a wall of the home, according to the Los Angeles Times and India Times.

The LAPD Captain indicated that the incident is still under investigation, and officials have not disclosed any potential motive for the shooting. Estimated at least one round hit parts of the property, and although Rihanna was present during the incident, no injuries were reported, according to Reuters and Channel News Asia.
