Yotta Data Services has announced plans to construct one of Asia's largest AI computing hubs as part of a $2 billion investment. This facility will utilize Nvidia's latest Blackwell Ultra chips, aimed at enhancing AI capabilities in the region, according to Reuters, Channel News Asia, and India Times.

The initiative includes a four-year agreement valued at over $1 billion, under which Nvidia will create one of the largest DGX Cloud clusters in Asia-Pacific within Yotta's infrastructure. The project is a response to the growing demand for generative AI services, especially as major cloud providers expand their presence in India, according to Reuters and Channel News Asia.

Expected to go live by August 2026, the supercluster will be established at Yotta's hyperscale campus in Greater Noida, complemented by its operations in Navi Mumbai. The growing infrastructure signals a shift in India's AI ambitions, as Yotta's CEO noted a critical need for enhanced computing resources to support India's burgeoning AI ecosystem, according to India Times.

As Yotta aims to meet the increasing requirements of AI applications, it is also exploring partnerships with various countries to deliver AI capacity throughout the APAC region. This strategy aligns with ongoing discussions about how India’s data centers can serve a wider demographic, according to India Times and Reuters.
