  • Hillary Clinton accuses Trump of a "cover-up" regarding Jeffrey Epstein files.
  • Clinton demands public testimony and claims she has "nothing to hide."
  • Over three million documents related to Epstein's case were recently released.
  • Bill and Hillary Clinton are scheduled to testify before Congress soon.
  • Trump denies any wrongdoing related to Epstein and refutes cover-up claims.

Hillary Clinton has publicly accused President Donald Trump of orchestrating a "cover-up" concerning the handling of files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Speaking in an interview with the BBC in Berlin, she stated, "Get the files out. They are slow-walking it." Clinton's assertions come just before she is due to testify before a congressional committee investigating Epstein's connections to powerful figures. The Justice Department recently released over three million documents pertaining to the investigation into Epstein, who died in custody in 2019, allegedly by suicide, according to BBC, Le Monde, and South China Morning Post.

The former secretary of state emphasized her commitment to transparency, stating, "We will show up but we think it would be better to have it in public." She expressed a desire for fairness in the process, asserting, "I want everybody treated the same way." While Clinton and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, are included in the files, no evidence has emerged implicating them in any criminal activity related to Epstein, according to the same sources.

As lawmakers demand the Justice Department to release internal memos and emails concerning Epstein, Clinton indicated that these omissions add to the circumstantial cloud surrounding the case, reiterating that the couple has repeatedly called for the files to be fully disclosed. Clinton remarked, "We have nothing to hide," aiming to clarify her position as an attempt to redirect focus away from Trump, who is also mentioned in the files. "Look at this shiny object. We're going to have the Clintons, even Hillary Clinton, who never met the guy," she said, according to BBC and South China Morning Post.

In response to Clinton's statements, Trump has denied any wrongdoing and reiterated that mere mention in the files does not equate to guilt. His claims were further supported by the Justice Department, which pointed out that some allegations in the documents are unsubstantiated. As the Clintons prepare to testify — with Hillary set for February 26 and Bill on February 27 — the political tension surrounding this high-profile case continues to mount, referencing both Clinton's insistence on transparency and the ongoing investigations into Trump’s alleged connections to Epstein according to Le Monde and South China Morning Post.
