Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of criminal threats after allegedly assaulting a ride-share driver in Hollywood. The driver did not incur any injuries requiring medical attention at the scene. Sutherland was subsequently arrested and later released on a $50,000 bond, with his first court appearance scheduled for February 2, as per SFGate and Los Angeles Times.
The investigation into the incident is being handled by the LAPD's Hollywood Division. Sutherland's history includes previous incidents with the law, including a sentence of 48 days in jail in 2007 for driving under the influence and several other alcohol-related arrests, reports BBC and SFGate.
