Syrian security forces captured Taha al-Zoubi, also known as Abu Omar Tibiya, during a joint operation with the US-led international coalition in the Damascus countryside. This operation took place in the city of Muaddamiyah and involved intelligence tracking and surveillance, leading to his detention along with several aides, as reported by Brigadier General Ahmad al-Dalati from Syria's Interior Ministry aa and lemonde.

The operation also saw the seizure of a suicide vest and military-grade weapons, marking a significant blow against the ISIS group, according to multiple sources. Al-Dalati stated, "Anyone who joins or assists ISIS will be pursued," emphasizing the heightened security measures being taken to address potential threats to the capital aa, aa, and aljazeera.
