A private jet carrying the Gonzaga University men’s basketball team almost collided with a Delta flight at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Friday.
The incident occurred when air traffic controllers instructed the Key Lime Air flight to stop as a Delta aircraft was taking off, preventing a potential catastrophe.
Video footage captured the moment when controllers yelled, “Stop, stop, stop!” as the Gonzaga jet crossed the hold bars.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and both airlines confirmed normal operations after the incident.
The FAA has initiated an investigation, coinciding with global aviation safety discussions following recent accidents.
