CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Browns are grappling with a quarterback uncertainty as they prepare for their season finale against the Baltimore Ravens. Coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that both Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Bailey Zappe are in contention to play, although he has not yet made a decision on who will start the game.

During a recent press conference, Stefanski stated, “There’s certainly a chance that I could play Bailey and Dorian in this game,” highlighting the possibility of utilizing both players. The former starting quarterback Jameis Winston is still recovering from a right shoulder injury and is expected to be available as the emergency quarterback for the matchup against the Ravens (11-5), who are looking for a win to clinch the AFC North title (AP News, Reuters).

This season, Thompson-Robinson has struggled significantly, completing 51.3% of his throws for 427 yards, with no touchdowns and six interceptions in six games. On the other hand, Zappe was signed off the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad after Watson’s injury and has shown promise with a career 63.2% completion rate during his tenure with the New England Patriots.

The Browns (3-13) have endured a turbulent season, having cycled through numerous quarterbacks, including 39 since 1999. The decision on the starting quarterback might not affect the Ravens much, as they look to wrap up their division with confidence.

Should Zappe earn the start, he would become the 40th quarterback to lead the Browns since 1999, reflecting the challenges the organization has faced in stability at that position.
