A coordinated attack involving suicide bombers targeted the headquarters of the Federal Constabulary (FC) in Peshawar on Monday morning, resulting in the deaths of at least six individuals, including three security personnel. The assault began with at least one suicide bomber detonating explosives at the main entrance, followed by two other attackers attempting to breach the compound, according to reports from police officials Indiatimes and South China Morning Post.

Witnesses reported hearing multiple explosions in the highly secured area, prompting a swift response from security forces who cordoned off the area and launched a clearance operation after engaging the attackers, who were neutralized before they could reach a large assembly of FC personnel Anadolu Agency and BBC.

Authorities indicated that the assailants belonged to the Jamaat-ul-Ahrar group, which is reported to have claimed responsibility for the attack, amid ongoing tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan regarding the operations of militant groups like the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Indiatimes and Al Jazeera.
