  • Manny Pacquiao confirms ongoing negotiations for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. tentatively set for 2026.
  • Potential venue for the fight is Las Vegas, with Netflix reportedly in discussions to broadcast the event.
  • Pacquiao has also indicated interest in possible bouts with Conor McGregor and Vasyl Lomachenko if Mayweather deal falls through.

Manny Pacquiao has officially confirmed that he is in talks for a possible rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr., expected to take place in 2026. During a live interview with the International Boxing Association, Pacquiao, 46, expressed optimism about negotiations, stating, “Right now, I can say there’s ongoing negotiation with Floyd, but if it doesn’t go, we will announce.” The fight could potentially be broadcasted by Netflix, which is a relatively new entrant into sports broadcasting, following its recent hosting of high-profile boxing events, according to India Times.

Both boxers have had storied careers, with Mayweather having an unblemished 50-0 record. Pacquiao noted that this next fight, which he clarified as a "real fight" rather than an exhibition, is "almost" ready for agreement, despite final details needing resolution. Las Vegas is favored as the potential location for this blockbuster event, according to Reuters.

If the negotiations with Mayweather do not yield a fight, Pacquiao has hinted at potential matchups with other notable fighters such as Conor McGregor and Vasyl Lomachenko. He expressed that while the Mayweather fight is a priority, he remains open to alternatives if those talks fall through, stating, “Lomachenko… it’s hard to say, but if he thinks negotiations are going to work” and referring to the possibility of facing McGregor, as reported by South China Morning Post.

The first encounter between Pacquiao and Mayweather in 2015, marketed as the "Fight of the Century," generated significant revenue, with over 4.6 million pay-per-view buys. As both fighters age—Pacquiao at 46 and Mayweather at 48—they have continued to explore professional opportunities in boxing. Mayweather, meanwhile, has also scheduled an exhibition fight against Mike Tyson, which may affect their potential rematch timelines, according to Reuters and India Times.
