Clemson, S.C. (AP) — Quarterback Cade Klubnik, who led Clemson’s remarkable journey to the Atlantic Coast Conference championship and the College Football Playoff, has decided to return for a fourth season rather than declare for the upcoming NFL Draft. Klubnik made the announcement on social media, stating, "The story isn't over. See y'all in 2025," showcasing his commitment to the Tigers.
In his second full season as the Tigers' starter, Klubnik achieved remarkable statistics. He threw for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns, with only six interceptions across 14 games, and added 463 rushing yards, totaling 43 touchdowns for the season. This impressive performance ranked him behind only two players in total touchdowns nationally.
Klubnik holds a 19-9 record as Clemson's starter and has previously been named the Most Valuable Player in the ACC championship game in 2022 and 2024. He set an ACC title game record with four touchdown passes in a playoff win against SMU and then threw for three more scores in a loss to Texas during the first round of the College Football Playoff.
