  • Newly released Epstein documents name Elon Musk, Steve Bannon, and Peter Thiel.
  • Musk was invited to Epstein's island in December 2014, according to the files.
  • No accusations of wrongdoing have been made against those named in the documents.
  • Democrats are investigating potential mishandling of Epstein’s case by the federal government.
  • The files comprise 8,544 documents, including schedules and flight logs.

Recent documents released by the House Oversight Committee reveal the names of prominent figures, including Elon Musk, Prince Andrew, Steve Bannon, and Peter Thiel, in connection with Jeffrey Epstein’s network. The group is identified in a trove of more than 8,500 documents made public by Congressional Democrats, which include flight logs, meeting schedules, and phone message logs, and aim to investigate Epstein's connections to powerful individuals in politics and business, according to Indiatimes, BBC, and Reuters.

Among the revelations in the documents is an entry noting that Musk was scheduled to visit Epstein’s private island in December 2014, a claim Musk has denied, stating: “This is false” on social media. The released materials do not indicate whether any of the scheduled meetings, including those with Thiel and Bannon, actually took place, according to Al Jazeera and Indiatimes.

The documents also include a flight manifest that lists Prince Andrew as a passenger on a trip from New Jersey to Florida in 2000, alongside Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. The Oversight Committee emphasizes the importance of these documents in understanding the scope of Epstein’s network and who might have been complicit in his activities, as reported by Indiatimes and Indiatimes.

Democrats have called for full transparency from the Justice Department regarding its handling of Epstein’s case, with plans to continue their investigation into his connections with powerful individuals. The ongoing scrutiny reflects broader concerns about the integrity of political figures involved, reinforcing the ties between Epstein and influential men, as highlighted by Indiatimes, Indiatimes, and BBC.
