One person was killed and several others injured when a train collided with a vehicle at a level crossing in southern Denmark on August 15, according to Reuters.
The train hit a slurry tanker near Tinglev, causing a derailment that left a carriage lying on its side, as reported by BBC and South China Morning Post.
Of the 95 passengers on board, two were flown away by helicopter for medical treatment. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported among school pupils who were also traveling, according to Le Monde and India Times.
The crossing was unmarked and lacked a barrier, leading to the crash, as stated by the police. The DSB railway operator indicated that services between Kliplev and Tinglev have been suspended following the incident, according to Reuters and Le Monde.
