The Thai king's eldest daughter, Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol, has been gravely ill and in the hospital for over two years, and now she is suffering from a severe blood infection. This information was confirmed in a recent statement from the Bureau of the Royal Household, which marked the first update on her health since her hospitalization began in December 2022 when she fell ill during a military dog training session in Nakhon Ratchasima, north of Bangkok, according to Channel News Asia, South China Morning Post, and India Times.

As part of her ongoing treatment, doctors reported that the princess's lungs and kidneys are functioning with assistance from medical devices and medication.
