Pittman's vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet HHR registered in North Carolina, was discovered on February 5, 2025, near Death Valley National Park in a remote area commonly frequented by campers. Despite thorough searches involving drones, cadaver dogs, and volunteer rescue teams, no signs of Pittman were initially found Newsweek, India Times, and CBS News.
