A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to facilitate the return of a Guatemalan man identified as O.C.G., who was unlawfully deported to Mexico despite his fears of persecution and having previously sought asylum in the U.S. U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy found that O.C.G.'s deportation "lacked any semblance of due process," stating that his transfer from the U.S. to Mexico was executed without proper legal protocol and occurred soon after he voiced concerns about returning to either country, including evidence of past violence (rape and kidnapping) he had faced in Mexico and Guatemala, according to The New York Times, India Times, CBS News, Los Angeles Times, HuffPost, NPR, and AA.
