Marilyn Manson Exonerated: No Charges Filed After Long Investigation into Sexual Assault Claims

Marilyn Manson will not face charges after a comprehensive investigation into allegations of sexual assault and domestic violence, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman. After nearly four years of scrutiny, officials stated that the allegations are too old under the law and the evidence is not sufficient to proceed with any charges against the 56-year-old musician, born Brian Warner.

"We have determined that allegations of domestic violence fall outside of the statute of limitations, and we cannot prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt," said Hochman, further expressing gratitude to the women who shared their experiences during the investigation.

The investigation, which began in early 2021, looked into multiple allegations made against Manson dating back to incidents reported from 2009 to 2011. It included a detailed examination of evidence gathered by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which executed a search warrant at his home.

Manson's legal team welcomed the decision, stating, "We are very pleased that, after a thorough and incredibly lengthy review of all of the actual evidence, the District Attorney has concluded what we knew and expressed from the start – Brian Warner is innocent," commented attorney Howard King.

Among the notable accusers is Esmé Bianco, known for her role in *Game of Thrones*, who has publicly detailed her allegations against Manson as part of the criminal investigation process. Bianco expressed her discontent with the lengthy proceedings, stating, "Almost four years ago, I did what victims of rape are supposed to do: I went to the police," emphasizing the arduous wait for justice.

Bianco's allegations included sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, claiming Manson had violated human trafficking laws by misleading her regarding roles in music videos and films. In her statement following the DA's decision, she remarked on the systemic failures of the justice system, asserting, "Once again, our justice system has failed survivors."

Additionally, fellow actress and Manson's former fiancée Evan Rachel Wood famously accused him of grooming and abuse during their tumultuous relationship that began in 2007 when she was only 19. Wood has consistently defended her allegations, stating that she was manipulated into submission during their time together. Manson has repeatedly denied these accusations, labeling them as "horrible distortions of reality."

With no criminal charges filed, Manson, who gained notable fame in the 1990s for his controversial persona and hits such as "The Beautiful People," continues to stand firm against the allegations as many involved pivot toward reconsideration of a system that has left numerous voices unheard.
