Kentucky law enforcement is currently investigating a series of racist flyers disseminated by the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), urging immigrants to “leave now” and “avoid deportation.” The flyers appeared in multiple cities, including Ludlow, Fort Wright, and Fort Mitchell, coinciding with the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration, January 20, 2025. The HILL reports that the flyers feature a cartoon image of Uncle Sam aggressively confronting a family of five, which includes two children and a baby.

The materials demand citizens to “Monitor & Track all Immigrants” and instruct them to report anyone they suspect. The flyers also suggest membership in the KKK, offering informational packets for a dollar. The GUARDIAN notes that this type of propaganda surfaced during a politically charged moment, amplifying concerns about the resurgence of hate speech amid crackdown rhetoric on immigration.

Local police departments have responded firmly. The Ludlow Police Department stated, “This disturbing and disgusting KKK propaganda... does not represent our community or the values we share,” indicating that multiple reports about the flyers have been received. Mayor Dave Hatter of Fort Wright echoed these sentiments, condemning the flyers as “loathsome and deplorable,” stressing their opposition to such hatred within the community. Bellevue Police Chief Jon McClain mentioned liaising with the FBI, highlighting the seriousness of the situation as more residents discovered these flyers.
