In response to the ongoing devastation caused by the wildfires in Los Angeles, which have destroyed over 14,000 structures and displaced thousands for more than three weeks, the music industry has stepped up with the FireAid 2025 concert. This star-studded benefit concert, set for January 30, 2025, aims to raise crucial funds for wildfire relief efforts.
Organized by Shelli and Irving Azoff in collaboration with Live Nation and AEG Presents, the concert features an impressive lineup of 28 renowned artists, including Billie Eilish, Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, and more. Performances will take place at two iconic venues in Inglewood, California: the Kia Forum starting at 6:00 PM PST and the Intuit Dome at 7:30 PM PST.
At the Kia Forum, audiences can anticipate notable performances from Alanis Morissette, No Doubt, Joni Mitchell, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Meanwhile, fans at the Intuit Dome can enjoy acts like Olivia Rodrigo and a special collaboration featuring Dave Matthews and John Mayer, marking their first live performance together.
Tickets for FireAid 2025 go on sale this Wednesday at 12 PM PST and are priced starting at $99. Proceeds will be directed towards wildfire relief under the advisement of the Annenberg Foundation, ensuring that funds are effectively utilized for immediate aid and prevention initiatives.
For those unable to attend in person, FireAid will be streamed live on Apple Music, YouTube, and Netflix, allowing a global audience to participate in the concert from their homes. This increase in accessibility reflects the urgent need for support in the wake of this environmental crisis.
Beyond this concert, the music community has shown tremendous support for wildfire victims, with Beyoncé’s foundation, BeyGOOD, contributing $2.5 million and The Weeknd donating $1 million to relief organizations. The combined efforts of artists and organizations underscore a unified response to the ongoing challenges the affected communities face.
