Los Angeles authorities recently apprehended an additional 29 individuals, including a suspect dressed in firefighter gear. The arrests took place in fire zones, with 25 individuals detained in the Eaton area and four in the Palisades region. These men falsely claimed affiliation with a local fire station, but a swift verification with the fire department confirmed their lack of connection.
Sheriff Robert Luna noted that most suspects arrested were not locals, revealing that some were found in possession of firearms and drugs. This series of arrests follows about 20 similar detentions from the previous week. In response to the ongoing situation, curfews have been established in the fire zones, while the National Guard and police continue patrolling these affected areas.
