  • The fire, located at Kai Kung Leng in Lam Tsuen Country Park, was reported to authorities around 5:30 PM on Saturday.
  • Rescue teams were notified at 6:30 PM that a man and a woman were stranded in the area due to high winds and the fire.
  • The hikers, who began their hike at around 3 PM, were extricated without any injuries by the Government Flying Service.
  • By 10 PM, the fire had expanded to a length of 80 meters and continued to burn.
