Sanctuary on the Moon aims to create a lunar time capsule that serves as a detailed guide to life on Earth for future humanity.
The project is inspired by the Golden Records from the Voyager spacecraft and will include 24 sapphire discs engraved with seven billion pixels each.
These discs will cover various topics like genetics, biology, and human knowledge, featuring elements like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Set for launch in 2028, the project is supported by NASA, UNESCO, and the French government, and aims to preserve humanity's journey for millennia.
While addressing contemporary issues like climate change, the capsule hopes to connect with our distant descendants, inviting them to explore their heritage.
