Israeli military officials confirmed the identification of Hamza Al-Ziyadnah, a 23-year-old hostage found dead in a southern Gaza tunnel.
His body was located close to that of his father, Yousef Al-Ziyadnah, 53, whose remains were recovered earlier in the week.
Both men were abducted during the Hamas assault on October 7, 2023, and were being held in Gaza.
The family of the victims has expressed sorrow and is advocating for an accelerated agreement to secure the release of remaining hostages.
The Hostages and Missing Families Forum highlighted that prompt negotiations could have saved these lives and stressed the importance of bringing home both living hostages and deceased for burial.
