A 25-year-old man named Sudhir Kumar committed suicide in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly due to family harassment related to his love marriage.
Sudhir was found hanging from a tree close to his home, following a distressing post on his Facebook account featuring his marriage certificate and wedding photos.
In his post, titled "Hamari Adhoori Kahani" (Our incomplete story), he highlighted the struggles he faced from his wife's family after their court marriage.
A suicide note revealed that Sudhir's partner faced family opposition, particularly from her brother-in-law, leading to ongoing harassment.
The local police stated that a post-mortem examination would take place, and an investigation will commence pending a formal complaint.
