The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed being “appalled” by an Israeli raid that has shut down the Kamal Adwan hospital in northern Gaza.
The WHO reported that the attack has severely damaged many hospital units, risking the lives of approximately 75,000 residents still in the area.
Local sources stated that while many medics detained during the raid were released, the hospital's director remains missing and unaccounted for.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed the hospital was a stronghold for Hamas and stated they would continue operations in line with international law.
The WHO plans to send an emergency mission to assist patients transferred to Indonesian hospital, which has been described as lacking essential medical supplies.
