  • Nearly 400 prison inmates from California have joined the fight against wildfires in Southern California, working alongside approximately 2,000 firefighters.
  • The incarcerated firefighters volunteer through the Conservation (Fire) Camps Program, receiving payment for their contributions to firefighting efforts.
