VANCOUVER, British Columbia — In an electrifying PWHL Takeover Tour matchup, Marie-Philip Poulin dazzled the crowd with a breathtaking “Superwoman” goal, contributing to the Montreal Victoire’s 4-2 triumph over the Toronto Sceptres on Wednesday night in front of a packed audience of 19,038 fans at Rogers Arena. Poulin showcased her exceptional skill, scoring the team's third goal by controlling the puck on her knees before launching it into the top right corner past goalie Kristen Campbell.

Poulin's remarkable follow-through left her stretched on the ice as the puck sailed in, capturing the essence of her nickname. Alongside her standout play, Mikyla Grant-Mentis netted a goal and provided an assist, while Claire Dalton also contributed to the scoreline. Goalkeeper Ann-Renée Desbiens made an impressive 29 saves for the Victoire, currently leading the league.

For the Sceptres, Jesse Compher and Daryl Watts found the net, with Campbell managing 21 saves. Notably, the crowd surpassed the Vancouver Canucks' season high of 18,940, showcasing growing interest in women’s hockey.

This event marked the second of nine games on the Takeover Tour, with the Sceptres set to face New York on Sunday, and the Victoire gearing up to play Minnesota in Denver.
